Dear Heritage Family, and Friends,

In Ephesians 3:20, the Apostle Paul penned one of the most challenging verses of scripture in the Bible. He said:

“God is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us.”

Certainly, we are seeing that verse lived out through the various ministries of Heritage Baptist Church. Even with the limitations forced upon us by the Covid-19 regulations, God continues to bless this fellowship with more opportunities for ministry and missions than anyone would have thought possible.

What a joy to serve as pastor of a church that does not measure its effectiveness just by the number of people in attendance, but by the number of members being disciples, and involved in some level of mission work, overseas, or across the street. What a joy to serve as pastor of a church that is not so connected to its denominational efforts that it cannot attempt great things for God on its own, and expect great things from God, such as we are seeing right now.

I do believe God has given Heritage an open door, and as long as we remain the channel of His blessings to our neighbors and to the nations, I believe He will continue to do far more abundantly than we could have ever imagine.

Remember, our goal for 2021 is our personal, spiritual growth. How will we know when we have reached that goal? When we see this world through the eyes of Christ, and we are willing to deny ourselves, take up our cross, daily, and follow His leadership.

If God has given you a passion for some expression of ministry, let us help you try to facilitate that, for your blessing, and for His glory!
